Richardson is a city in North Texas home in Collin and Dallas Counties. It is found in an area known as Dallas’ Silicon Prairie. Richardson is a sought out area of North Texas offering much to residents and visitors alike. Education is a major thought on the minds of Richardson residents, which is home to several elementary, middle schools, and high schools. The Richardson Independent School District provides exceptional educational opportunities for students in the district, which prepares each student with the resources and tools needed to begin a career or engage in higher education. Richardson is also home to University of Texas at Dallas, which is found at the joining of Richardson, Plano, and Dallas in the Telecom Corridor. The university offers courses in the arts, business, medicine, science, and technology.
Richardson in North Texas has many exciting outdoor activities the entire family will enjoy including aquatics, golf, summer camps, tennis, and trails along with indoor activities such as gymnastics. Richardson has over 40 miles of trails and walkways that allow residents the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful parks for leisure or fitness. Most of the trails are adjacent to parks with picnic areas, tennis courts, golf courses, and recreation centers. The Sherrill Park offers two golf courses with course #1 ranking in the top ten for municipal golf courses in Texas year after year.
Along with recreation activities, Richardson home in North Texas is home to the Spring Creek Farm and Owens Museum, which is a very nice zoo with various animals along with the Owens Museum on the same property, which is a 100-year-old museum.
