Frisco is a city in North Texas home in both Collin and Denton counties. It is a suburb of Dallas, Texas and is one of the wealthiest and fastest growing in the area. Frisco like its neighboring suburbs around Dallas is home to many upscale homes for professionals working in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
Frisco is close enough to the metro complex of Dallas and Fort Worth to give residents various opportunities for employment outside of the Frisco area, however, for those wishing to work in Frisco and stay close to home in North Texas there are several retail employment opportunities such as Stonebriar Centre, IKEA, and various other retail stores and restaurants. This is also great for those wishing to shop at home instead of fighting traffic in Dallas to visit the malls, since the Stonebriar Centre has pretty much anything you would want under the roof of this 165-store mall.
Frisco Square home in the downtown area is another draw for visitors and those wanting to live in the area. The development is home to 250 rental units, 40,000 square feet of commercial space, and at the time of this writing seven restaurants.
Education is very important in Frisco in North Texas, which provides various elementary schools and four high schools within the Frisco Independent School District. Higher education is also available in Frisco with the Preston Ridge campus of the Collin County Community College District and the Dallas Baptist University in Frisco’s Hall Office Park.
Recreation and family fun is found at the Frisco Athletic Center that offers indoor and outdoor aquatic features along with other activities. Along with being involved in family fun, Frisco in North Texas is proud of their sports teams including Frisco RoughRiders (baseball), Texas Tornado (ice hockey), Frisco Thunder (Indoor football), and FC Dallas (Soccer). The Superdome is located in Frisco, which is one of the top outdoor velodromes in the United States.
Family fun goes beyond sports as Frisco is home to parks with a variety of amenities including picnic areas, nature walks, and playgrounds.
Frisco is like other North Texas areas and is still booming when it comes to the real estate sector. There are many wonderful homes on the market just waiting for a family.
